Join our Design Research team and gain hands-on experience in identifying user needs, challenges, and opportunities. You'll learn the fundamentals of various research methods, how to transform learnings into actionable insights, and how to inform user-centered designs. Participate in conducting end-to-end research, synthesizing findings, contributing to data-driven decision-making, and exploring innovative research techniques. This co-op is your opportunity to establish a solid foundation in understanding people and crafting exceptional user experiences.
Some things the Design Research team works on:
- Leveraging diverse research methods to discover stakeholder needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine research priorities and inform product roadmaps
- Supporting a democratized research practice from concept through execution, ensuring rigor and validity
- Transforming qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights that drive user-centered designs
- Educating and empowering teams across the organization through research, learning sessions, and resources
Some of the methods we use on the Design Research team include:
- Qualitative methods (e.g., interviews, moderated testing, unmoderated testing, etc.)
- Quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, analytics interpretation, A/B testing, etc.)
Your career experience so far may include:
- Exposure to UX research methodologies or human-computer interaction concepts
- Hands-on experience with research projects (academic or professional)
- Previous co-op or internship experience in a related field
- A passion for understanding people and solving complex problems
As a UX Research Co-op, you are likely to assist with:
- Conducting and presenting user research for our platform
- Developing and facilitating workshops that help guide the design team in leveraging AI and other emerging technologies responsibly and effectively
- Assisting in the design and execution of various research studies, from defining research questions to recruiting participants
- Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, themes, and actionable insights
- Contributing to the synthesis and communication of research findings through artifacts, reports, presentations, and interactive sessions
- Supporting the development of educational resources and templates for research best practices
Security-related Responsibilities:
- Compliance with Information Security Policies
- Compliance with League’s secure coding practice
- Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures
- Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations

Please note: This is an in-office position at our Toronto HQ from Monday to Thursday and Fridays are work-from-home. We really value fostering in-person connection and collaboration which is especially advantageous as learning opportunity for a Co-op student.
