What You’ll Do
- Own the development of real-time perception systems that guide intelligent robotic behavior
- Build and optimize pipelines for face detection, tracking, and spatial awareness
- Integrate vision algorithms with mechanical and motion control systems
- Collaborate with design and hardware teams to support precise, high-quality cosmetic application
- Tune, test, and validate visual models in dynamic real-world conditions
- Contribute to system architecture and guide long-term perception strategy
- Design and build data and evaluation pipelines
- Engineer and ship high quality, reliable software that will be deployed to the real world
- Collaborate with other Overlay team members to develop and continuously improve the autonomy stack
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience solving applied computer vision problems (tracking, SfM, depth estimation) preferably in robotics or embedded applications
- Strong skills in modern computer vision and machine learning tools such as OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow/Jax. Experience training and deploying machine learning models
- Solid Python programming and competent C++ experience writing documented, testable, and maintainable software in a shared codebase
- Experience with robotic systems, sensor integration, and simulation engines
- Clear communication, autonomy, and the ability to thrive in a rapid prototyping environment
- You are energized by collaborating in-office with your peers
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with integrating mechanical and electrical subsystems
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing, machining, or rapid prototyping

Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $175,000–$250,000 annually based on level in addition to equity & benefits.
