AI Engineer
Our client, a well-funded technology company backed by major UAE investment, is establishing its US hub in New York and hiring their first AI Engineer on the ground.
This is a genuine founding-team opportunity. The product is highly ambitious, the funding is secured through the parent group, and the US build-out starts now. You'll be employee 1-5 in the New York office, shaping the technical foundations of the US business rather than inheriting someone else's stack.
What you'll do:
- Design, build and ship production ML/LLM systems - from model integration and fine-tuning through to deployment, monitoring and iteration
- Own the AI architecture for the US product line, working directly with the founding leadership team
- Help define engineering culture and hiring as the NYC team scales around you
What we're looking for:
- Strong production experience with ML systems - Python, modern ML frameworks, and real-world deployment
- Hands-on work with LLMs, RAG pipelines, or applied ML products in a startup or scale-up environment
- Comfort with ambiguity, you'll be building 0→1, with the resources of an established, well-funded group behind you
- NYC-based or committed to relocating; US work authorisation required
