Acadia is seeking an
Applied AI & Automation Engineer to partner with internal teams to develop and deploy agentic AI solutions across the organization. This role focuses on evaluating, designing, and implementing AI agents, intelligent workflow automation, and Large Language Model (LLM)-driven tools that streamline business operations and support data-driven decision making.
This position is ideal for a technically curious engineer with practical, hands-on experience applying machine learning and agentic AI technologies to produce real business solutions.
This is a full-time position based in the Company's corporate office in Rye, New York.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Collaborate with internal teams across departments to identify and prioritize opportunities where agentic AI can eliminate manual effort and streamline processes.
- Design, prototype, and deploy AI agents capable of assisting team members and automating internal decision workflows.
- Build reporting tools, analytics models, and dashboards that leverage LLM-driven insights to support business decisions.
- Research and evaluate emerging agentic AI models, frameworks, and platforms to inform the organization's AI roadmap.
- Document AI solutions, architectures, and workflows for internal knowledge sharing and governance.
- Lead pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives related to agentic AI adoption across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience working with agentic AI automation platforms, LLM-based engineering tools, or machine learning technologies in production environment, not solely experimental or academic use.
- Demonstrated proficiency with LLM-based engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in deployed, production-grade workflows.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with a genuine desire to expand expertise in agentic AI and automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applicable certifications in cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), AI/ML, or security.
- Strong interest in the broader landscape of artificial intelligence and autonomous systems.
The base salary compensation range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000.
Employees may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
