What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy computer vision and robotics algorithms for autonomous flight systems
- Build perception systems for object detection, landing zone evaluation, and detect-and-avoid capabilities
- Work with multi-sensor data streams including IMUs, navigation systems, and onboard flight sensors
- Develop solutions for GPS-denied navigation and real-time decision-making systems
- Collaborate closely with flight controls, mission planning, and systems engineering teams
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from research to production deployment
- Optimize systems for real-time performance, reliability, and safety in live flight environments
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering focused on robotics, perception, autonomy, or related fields
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or C++
- Hands-on experience with computer vision, sensor fusion, or autonomous navigation systems
- Experience building and deploying algorithms in real-world production environments
- Background in autonomous vehicles, aerospace systems, drones, or robotics
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering and mission teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with embedded systems or real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Background in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems
- Experience with DevSecOps practices in robotics or autonomous systems
- Exposure to aviation, aerospace certification, or safety-critical systems
- Experience working with large-scale distributed or edge-deployed systems
