The Cybersecurity Group at SandboxAQ is building AQtive Guard, a category-defining platform designed to protect enterprises against emerging cryptographic and identity-based threats. The team partners closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market leaders to bring innovative security solutions to highly regulated and complex enterprise environments.
SandboxAQ is seeking an Enterprise Sales Director to build and lead our North American enterprise sales function for AQtive Guard. As the founding regional sales leader, this individual will operate as a player-coach, owning revenue generation while defining go-to-market strategy and scaling a high-performing team.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver Series A–level impact with the backing of a deeply funded, late-stage organization. You will engage directly with senior executive stakeholders, drive complex enterprise sales cycles, and play a critical role in shaping product positioning and market adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Own and drive new enterprise sales opportunities for AQtive Guard across North America, carrying a personal revenue quota.
Build and manage a robust pipeline using strategic account planning, MEDDPICC and Challenger methodologies, and value-based selling approaches.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in close partnership with Marketing, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Product teams.
Engage directly with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other executive stakeholders to navigate complex buying cycles and close large enterprise deals.
Recruit, coach, and scale a high-performing North American sales team as revenue grows, while maintaining forecasting accuracy and alignment with global leadership.
Essential Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity enterprise sales with a consistent track record of exceeding quota.
Significant experience selling to Fortune 500 customers and regulated industries such as financial services, government, healthcare, or energy.
Proven success operating as a player-coach, balancing personal quota ownership with team development and leadership.
Deep familiarity with cryptography, identity security, and/or non-human identity (NHI) management concepts.
Exceptional executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage long, complex sales cycles (12–18 months).
Highly Desired Skills & Experience
Background selling cryptographic technologies such as key management, PKI, HSMs, or adjacent security solutions.
Experience selling early-stage, innovative, or category-creating cybersecurity products.
Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography and its impact on enterprise security strategies.
Established network of senior security and IT decision-makers across large enterprises.
