About the Team
OpenAI’s GTM Partnerships team builds a strategic, global partner ecosystem to accelerate customer success, enable enterprise AI adoption, and drive durable growth in support of OpenAI’s mission toward AGI. We work cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and GTM to deliver strong partner outcomes through disciplined strategy and execution.
This role sits in Partnerships/GTM and leads a portfolio of ISV and technology partnerships, with deep collaboration across internal teams to support integrations, joint go-to-market, and long-term partnership growth.
About the Role
We are hiring a Partner Director, Head of Technology Partnerships to lead and scale OpenAI’s ISV and technology partner portfolio. You will be responsible for building strategic relationships with leading enterprise platforms and software providers, and translating shared priorities into scalable integrations and go-to-market motions that drive customer adoption.
This leader will operate as the single accountable owner for a set of high-impact partnerships, setting direction, establishing operating cadence, and aligning internal and partner stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional work across product, engineering, security, and GTM.
In this role, you will:
Own and grow a portfolio of strategic ISV and technology partnerships, with accountability for partnership health, adoption, and business impact.
Define partnership strategy and priorities, including joint plans, goals, and an execution roadmap across key partner segments.
Establish and run a durable operating model, including governance, stakeholder alignment, escalation paths, and execution cadence.
Partner with Product and Engineering to shape and deliver integrations that meet enterprise requirements for reliability, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with Security, Legal, and Privacy teams to ensure appropriate trust, compliance, and commercial frameworks for joint work.
Build and drive joint GTM plans with Field and Marketing teams, including enablement, solution positioning, and coordinated execution.
Track performance against clear metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement across partnerships and programs.
Represent OpenAI with senior partner executives, driving alignment, resolving issues, and expanding partnership scope over time.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
Significant experience leading strategic technology partnerships, alliances, or platform ecosystem programs in enterprise software or cloud.
A track record building and scaling partnerships from early-stage strategy through execution, integrations, and GTM.
Strong technical and product fluency, with the ability to partner effectively with solutions engineering and security teams (without needing to be the hands-on implementer).
Experience navigating enterprise requirements related to security, privacy, governance, and compliance in partner-led initiatives.
Exceptional cross-functional leadership and the ability to drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales/GTM, Legal, and partner organizations.
Strong executive presence, negotiation capability, and comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Clear, concise communication skills with experience producing decision-ready memos, plans, and executive updates.
