Core Insights partners closely with Product, Partner Development, Marketplace, and Leadership to answer three fundamental questions: How is the business performing? What changed, and why? What should we do next?
This role is business-first. You will own the health of key business metrics, investigate performance changes, and translate analysis into clear insights and recommended actions. Advanced analytics and machine learning may be used where appropriate, but success in this role is defined by judgment, clarity, and business impact rather than technical sophistication alone.
This role may be filled by candidates with varying levels of machine learning experience. All hires are expected to own business KPIs end to end, explain performance changes clearly, and influence decisions through insights. Some candidates will primarily focus on reporting, experimentation, and driver analysis, while others may apply machine learning to scale analysis or surface patterns. In all cases, success is defined by business impact.
As Part Of This Team, You Will
- Own the health of core Apple Ads business KPIs and proactively investigate performance changes
- Perform deep-dives of key drivers , including baselines, seasonality, segmentation, and causal hypotheses
- Build and maintain clear, decision-oriented reporting and dashboards
- Apply statistical analysis and data science techniques to understand business performance, diagnose metric movement, and translate analytical findings into concrete recommendations for cross-functional partners
- Partner closely with Product, Partner Development, Marketplace, and Leadership to support business decisions
- Apply experimentation, statistical analysis, and machine learning where they meaningfully improve business understanding or outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field, or related experience
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related analytical role
- Strong SQL (Snowflake, AWS Athena or similar platforms) and Python skills (experience using libraries such as Pandas, SciPy, and scikit-learn) with demonstrated end-to-end analytics ownership
- Experience diagnosing metric movement through experimentation, lift analysis, or performance investigations
- Ability to explain analytical work clearly to non-technical audiences
- Experience partnering cross-functionally in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in digital advertising, marketplaces, or other performance-driven consumer businesses
- Familiarity with metrics related to auctions, pricing, supply and demand, or performance optimization
- Experience building and maintaining business-facing dashboards or recurring performance reporting
- Comfort influencing decisions without perfect data
- Experience applying machine learning to real-world business problems with clear downstream impact
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
