About the Role
Our client is building next-generation AI agents that automate complex financial audit workflows for large enterprises—reducing weeks of manual effort into minutes. The platform processes hundreds of millions of tokens of financial data and tackles automation challenges that have resisted traditional software for decades.
This is a high-ownership AI Engineer role, working directly with founders in a fast-growing, well-funded startup environment. You’ll own core agent systems end-to-end, from architecture to production deployment, and play a key role in shaping how autonomous audits work at scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement complex AI agent systems (planning, memory, tool usage, recovery mechanisms)
- Build fault-tolerant, production-grade features that integrate cleanly with the broader system
- Architect and execute large-scale workloads processing 100GB+ of data across processes and threads
- Debug agent failures, edge cases, and performance bottlenecks in production
- Rapidly learn financial audit workflows and ship meaningful improvements in hours—not weeks
- Take full ownership from system design through deployment and iteration
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience building AI agent systems or autonomous workflows
- Solid full-stack engineering background
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed or concurrent systems
- Comfort debugging complex production issues
- High ownership mindset, strong work ethic, and startup grit
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to move fast in ambiguous environments
