Our client, a non-profit organization based in New York City, is seeking a Temporary Research Manager to assist with their Analytics and Insights teams. This role will involve overseeing and managing major research initiatives as well as assuming a supervisory role for interns, contractors, and consultants. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and problem solver who works well both independently and with a team.

- Pay rate: $40/hour
Responsibilities:
- Re-envisioning and managing the annual customer experience data collection efforts
- Creating user-friendly reports on major complex research studies and telling the stories or insights behind that research.
- Managing high-level project teams and external research vendors as necessary.
- Designing and executing research projects that answer key business questions about the customer experience, including defining methodology, sampling, and instrument design.
- Conducting and overseeing basic and advanced quantitative statistical analyses in SPSS or other statistical software (i.e., R or Python). Advanced analyses include multivariate analyses of variance, simultaneous and hierarchic regression models, post-hoc comparisons, logistic regressions, cluster analyses, power analyses, and effect size computations.
- Preparing and overseeing the management of data, including data cleaning, recoding variables, computing new variables, and aggregating and splitting datasets.
- Analyzing and overseeing the management of qualitative data using thematic coding, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data mining tools.
- Reviewing academic and industry literature for relevant contextual information.
- Working with the team to design templates for communicating complex data to lay audiences.
- Collaborating with colleagues at the national and council levels to integrate research findings / research support into strategy development and program improvement.
- Playing a key role in shaping internal and external strategies for promoting utilization of evaluation tools/resources.
- Making recommendations based on data, analytics, and insights to councils and constituencies.
- Representing the work at events, as well as external conferences.
- Attending required local and national meetings as needed.
- Providing research related support as needed to partners and the Analytics and Insights in general.
- Coordinating, defining, and integrating data and research across Analytics & Insights to develop well informed findings and insights.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience managing research projects.
- Competency in Office 365, especially with PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proficient in SPSS or comparable statistical software (Python, R, etc).
- Preferred experience with Qualtrics or other survey platforms, as well as Looker, SQL, and AI tools.
- BA/BS degree in relevant field.
- 5+ Years experience in a similar role.
