Head of Research – Frontier Technology Venture Firm
Metrics Recruitment is partnering with a leading venture firm investing in frontier technology and advanced science across AI, blockchain, quantum computing, and breakthrough innovations.
We are seeking a Head of Research to launch and lead the firm’s Intelligence division, uncovering underreported developments in science, technology, and macro systems. Your insights will be translated into actionable quarterly reports and ongoing strategic guidance, directly shaping investment priorities.
The ideal candidate goes beyond trend tracking to define the narratives that drive markets and technology. Broad analytical expertise, original thinking, and the ability to turn complex developments into clear, high-impact insights are essential.
Requirements:
- 8+ years leading research, strategy, or analysis in venture, think tanks, consulting, freelancing, or academia
- Intellectual range and curiosity across science, geopolitics, finance, and emerging technology
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and forming original theses ahead of market consensus
- Analytical range: equally fluent in technology, markets, and systems thinking
- Management experience: building or leading research teams
- Direct venture capital exposure
