Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Analytics and AI team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling, with a proven ability to develop scalable solutions that drive customer engagement, marketing effectiveness, and business growth within the insurance and financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, train, and optimize Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI models for customer engagement, marketing, sales, and business analytics use cases.
- Build and deploy production-grade ML and GenAI solutions, including batch, API-based, and real-time inference capabilities.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable business insights.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, model validation, and performance monitoring.
- Develop predictive models and AI solutions to improve customer experience, communication strategies, revenue generation, and business outcomes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications using APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Create dashboards, visualizations, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate analytical findings and recommendations.
- Apply MLOps best practices to ensure model scalability, reliability, governance, and production stability.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI.
- Promote responsible AI practices, including data privacy, model governance, bias mitigation, and model monitoring.
- Take ownership of project deliverables, technical decisions, timelines, and overall solution performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of experience in the Insurance and/or Financial Services industry, preferably supporting sales, marketing, customer engagement, or analytics initiatives.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and supporting production ML and/or GenAI solutions.
- Strong programming experience in Python for machine learning and advanced analytics.
- Experience developing machine learning models in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience performing data analysis, anomaly detection, and exploratory data analysis.
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning, Power BI, and/or Domino Data Lab.
- Strong understanding of statistics, mathematics, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience leveraging predictive analytics and AI solutions to improve customer engagement, marketing effectiveness, and business outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings through effective storytelling and visualizations.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and related AI technologies.
- Knowledge of MLOps frameworks, model monitoring, and cloud-native AI architectures.
- Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks and model governance practices.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments such as Insurance or Financial Services.
