Senior Generative AI & Machine Learning Engineer

They are looking for a Senior Generative AI & Machine Learning Engineer to help design, build and deploy production-grade AI applications used by customers worldwide.
This is an opportunity to work on modern AI technologies, moving beyond proof of concepts to build scalable, intelligent systems that solve real business problems.
What you'll be doing
- Design and build production-ready applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Develop scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector search solutions
- Integrate foundation models including OpenAI and open-source LLMs into customer-facing applications
- Optimise AI systems for performance, scalability and reliability
- Develop backend services and REST APIs using Python
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Data teams to deliver innovative AI features
- Continuously evaluate, monitor and improve AI model performance
What we're looking for
- Commercial experience building Generative AI applications
- Strong experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings and vector databases
- Python development experience
- Experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks
- Experience integrating OpenAI APIs and/or open-source models
- Knowledge of LangChain or similar AI orchestration frameworks
- Experience with SQL databases
- Familiarity with Docker and AWS
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks
- Experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Qdrant or similar vector databases
- Experience deploying AI applications into production
- CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Experience in fast-paced or startup environments
