As a PCT Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will partner with process, equipment, and cross-functional engineers to support process startup, development, and optimization. This opportunity provides a way to improve product quality and reliability through process yield improvement, cost reduction, efficiency gains, and risk management. You will also resolve issues on the manufacturing line.
Within OMT PCT (Process Contamination Team), we concentrate on process enhancement through FOUP AMC studies, N₂ purge strategies, and advanced FOUP environmental control methods. Our goal is to develop a reliable monitoring and defense system that can detect potential gaps promptly and prevent process excursions.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Area, PIE, AMHS, and ME teams, providing technical expertise to support rapid response and balanced solutions. Join Micron's Process Contamination Technology (PCT) team, where you will contribute significantly to maintaining the flawless performance of our innovative semiconductor manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

Direct process AMC control and N₂ / advanced FOUP environmental regulation efforts to minimize contamination risks and protect product quality.

Develop and complete end-to-end contamination control strategies across FOUP/FOSB, equipment, and fab environments.

Drive monitoring, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve process quality, manufacturing stability, and yield performance.

Work together with process integration, equipment, AMHS, and global groups to support advanced node ramp and manufacturing readiness.

Define process contamination control standards, procedures, and guidelines, benchmarking solutions with industry-leading approaches.

Support process contamination-related investigations, risk assessments, and corrective/preventive actions across fabs.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Integration, Process Engineering, or Equipment Engineering for Staff Engineer.

Master’s degree accompanied by at least 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Integration, Process Engineering, or Equipment Engineering for Sr. Engineer.

Strong data and analytics skills, with hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau); experience with AI tools or applied data/AI solutions is a strong plus.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with simulation tools and performing simulations related to contamination control or process environments is valued.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.

Strong dedication to safety, quality, and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications

Semiconductor experience in FOUP / contamination control / AMC / yield improvement.

Experience with cross-functional collaboration (CPIE, AMHS, etc.).

Familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, JMP, etc.)/ Experience in CFD simulation for flow field analysis.

Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
