JOB DESCRIPTION
The Data Scientist, Commercial Strategy and Insights will be responsible for supporting the commercial strategy and insights team, including but not limited to: Sales, Marketing, E-commerce, and Customer Experience.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with business partners to build descriptive, predictive and prescriptive models with the goal of maximizing profit and gaining a competitive advantage in the market.
- Curate data from many sources, including internal databases and external APIs, and aggregate to a format appropriate for building descriptive reports or predictive models.
- Solve complex analytical problems using quantitative approaches using unique blend of technical, business, mathematical, analytical and data skills.
- Use deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques and recommendation and optimization algorithms.
- Analyze large, complex multi-dimensional data sets with variety of tools.
- Partner with business stakeholders to prepare and maintain reports/dashboards that will be used to derive insights into past/present business performance.
- Articulate complex analytical/mathematical concepts to business partners in a digestible manner utilizing verbal, PowerPoint and visual analytical tools.
- This is a hybrid position, 3 days per week in office, the employee may be able to work from home on an as-needed basis.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Commercial Strategy and Insights or related role performing predictive modeling, data science, data engineering and analysis using Data Bricks, Amazon Web Services, SQL, and Tableau.
- Experience leveraging the Tableau data visualization platform to design and develop comprehensive dashboards for stakeholders.
- Experience utilizing AWS to architect and oversee the Customer Experience (CX) team’s internal data infrastructure.
- Experience developing and implementing solutions using Python Scripting languages.
- Experience harnessing SQL tools to work with both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience using Databricks for Data Science and AI Modeling, including leveraging Databricks to build and deploy AI models that enhance Customer Experience (CX) initiatives
