PadSplit is looking for a Vice President of Data & AI Strategy to define how data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence drive business outcomes across the company. Reporting to the CTO, this leader will oversee our Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, and AI enablement functions while ensuring data and AI investments improve member, host, and business outcomes. This role will help transform data into a competitive advantage while ensuring responsible and ethical use of AI across the organization.

We are looking for an experienced data and AI executive who has successfully built and led integrated data, analytics, and machine learning organizations at scale. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional business judgment, helping leaders make better decisions while identifying practical applications of AI that create measurable value. They are an influential leader who can balance innovation, governance, ethics, and execution while building high-performing teams around a shared vision.

Here's What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day:

AI Strategy Leadership: Define and execute PadSplit's enterprise AI strategy, including adoption goals, enablement programs, governance frameworks, and measurement of business impact.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Business Intelligence, Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI enablement teams as a unified data organization.

Roadmap Ownership: Prioritize and oversee machine learning and predictive technology initiatives, including pricing optimization, risk prediction, search relevance, and future AI-powered products.

Data Platform Governance: Own the health, scalability, quality, cost management, and governance of PadSplit's modern data ecosystem.

Responsible AI Practices: Partner with Legal and executive leadership to establish ethical AI standards that protect members, hosts, and the business.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Product, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to identify and deliver high-impact data and AI solutions.

Executive Decision Support: Translate complex analytics, predictive insights, and AI opportunities into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging AI and machine learning technologies, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, decision-making, customer outcomes, and business performance.
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful:

Leadership Experience: 10+ years leading data, analytics, machine learning, or AI functions, including significant experience managing managers and scaling teams.

Integrated Team Ownership: Demonstrated success leading both analytics and machine learning organizations rather than specializing in a single discipline.

AI Deployment Success: Proven track record implementing AI solutions at organizational scale and measuring tangible business outcomes.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of modern data platforms, analytics ecosystems, machine learning workflows, and AI technologies.

Ethical AI Judgment: Deep understanding of responsible AI practices, governance frameworks, bias mitigation, and customer-impact considerations.

Executive Communication: Ability to influence executives, present to boards, challenge assumptions, and simplify complex technical concepts for business audiences.

Business Partnership: Experience partnering across Product, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to deliver measurable business value through data.

Platform Stewardship: Experience managing data quality, governance, scalability, security, and cost optimization across modern data platforms.
The Interview Process:
- Your application will be reviewed for possible next steps by the Hiring Manager.
- If you meet eligibility requirements, the next step would be a phone call with a member of the PeopleOps team for about thirty (30) minutes.
- If warranted, the next step would be a video interview with our CTO for one (1) hour.
- If warranted, the next step would be a video panel interview with members of our leadership team for one (1) hour.
- If warranted, the next step would be a video panel interview with key stakeholders at PadSplit for two (2) hours.
- The panel interview will require a candidate to work on a data assessment where you will showcase your data and AI skills to the panel for discussion.
- If warranted, the final interview would be with our CEO.
- If warranted, then we move to offer!

$200,000 - $240,000 a year
Compensation is based on the role's scope, national market benchmarks, the person's expertise and experience, and the impact of their contributions to our business goals.
