Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain statistical and machine learning models under the guidance of senior team members.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Support data-driven decision-making by providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor model performance and assist in model improvements.
- Document methodologies, processes, and project outcomes.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in data science and analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role (internships and academic projects are welcome).
- Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and data analysis concepts.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R.
- Familiarity with SQL and database querying.
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and common algorithms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and presentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Understanding of data engineering concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience working with large datasets and data pipelines.
- Portfolio of academic, personal, or internship projects demonstrating data analysis or machine learning capabilities.
