Founding AI Engineer – High Performance Quantitative Trading - Illinois | Full Time | Competitive Compensation

We’re working with one of the most exciting new ventures in the US fintech/quant space right now.

Our client are a newly formed joint venture between a global Tier 1 consulting powerhouse (think EY, PwC, Deloitte level) and one of the world’s top investment funds. They are building a cutting edge high performance quantitative trading platform from the ground up in East Illinois.

They’re assembling a world class founding engineering team, and they’re looking for exceptional AI Engineers to join as some of the very first technical hires.

You’ll be working on bleeding edge AI that directly powers sophisticated trading strategies and generates real alpha in global markets.

What You’ll Do

Design and deploy next generation AI/ML systems (LLMs, reinforcement learning, agentic architectures)
Optimize large scale models for ultra low latency, high reliability trading environments
Push the boundaries of model efficiency, inference optimization, and real time decision making
Work hand in hand with elite quants, software engineers, and data scientists
Own significant pieces of the platform from day one

Who We’re Looking For

Deep hands on experience with modern AI/ML stacks (PyTorch, JAX, LangChain etc)
Strong background in LLMs, agentic systems, reinforcement learning, or model optimization
Excellent software engineering skills, production Python experience is essential
A strong academic foundation (High GPA Batchelor's, Master’s or PhD from a top tier university preferred e.g. Ivy League, AAU, Georgia Tech, UIUC, Purdue etc)

Senior and Lead AI Engineers are particularly encouraged to apply.
