Job Summary
The Director, AI Strategy & Growth leads the development and execution of HMA’s enterprise AI strategy to drive measurable business value, operational efficiency, and organizational growth. This role partners with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and IT teams to identify, prioritize, and scale AI-enabled initiatives that align with strategic priorities and support long-term business objectives. The Director is responsible for maintaining the enterprise AI roadmap, driving organizational adoption, establishing value realization metrics, and ensuring AI investments deliver meaningful outcomes.

- AI Strategy and Business Alignment
- Define, lead, and continuously refine the enterprise AI strategy to support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and business transformation.
- Translate enterprise priorities into a portfolio of high-impact AI initiatives with clearly defined business cases and measurable outcomes.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI opportunities based on strategic alignment, ROI, feasibility, and time-to-value.
- Maintain a dynamic AI roadmap that aligns investments and initiatives with business priorities and organizational objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging AI technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- AI Leadership and Collaboration
- Partner with executive leadership to establish alignment, secure sponsorship, and support funding decisions for AI-related initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business leaders and IT delivery teams to translate strategic business needs into outcome-oriented AI initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director, AI Technology & Platforms and other technical leaders on governance, compliance, risk management, and responsible AI practices.
- Partner with Human Resources and Learning & Development teams to support role-based AI enablement and workforce readiness initiatives.
- Support pilot programs, proof-of-concept initiatives, and innovation efforts to evaluate emerging AI capabilities and business applications.
- Value Realization and Organizational Adoption
- Establish and monitor KPIs, adoption metrics, and value realization frameworks to measure effectiveness and return on investment of AI initiatives.
- Drive organizational adoption of AI-enabled solutions through workflow integration, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
- Hold business stakeholders accountable for adoption, utilization, and measurable outcomes associated with prioritized AI investments.
- Develop executive-level communications related to AI strategy, roadmap progress, investment priorities, and business performance.
- Identify and support opportunities to expand client-facing AI-enabled services and solutions where appropriate.

Qualifications
Education/Training
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information technology, business administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in information technology, digital transformation, strategic initiatives, or related business functions required. Demonstrated experience leading enterprise initiatives with measurable business impact and organizational adoption required. Experience developing, evaluating, or implementing AI-enabled solutions within a business environment preferred. Healthcare consulting or healthcare industry experience preferred.

- Ability to align technology initiatives with strategic business objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Knowledge of responsible AI principles, ethical considerations, data privacy requirements, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate opportunities through operational, financial, and strategic perspectives.

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear business terms to executive and non-technical audiences.
