About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
AI/ML Engineer to help design, build, and scale a sophisticated agent-based AI platform that automates complex decision-making workflows across healthcare revenue operations.
This role goes far beyond experimenting with language models. You will create production-grade AI systems capable of reasoning, retrieving information, coordinating tasks, generating documents, and continuously improving through feedback. You will work directly with business stakeholders, engineering leadership, and domain experts to translate complex operational processes into intelligent, autonomous workflows.

Key Responsibilities
AI Platform Architecture
- Design and implement the foundational architecture for an enterprise-grade agentic AI platform.
- Develop scalable frameworks that enable autonomous task execution across complex business workflows.
- Create orchestration systems that coordinate multiple specialized agents working together toward a common objective.
- Drive architectural decisions that balance performance, reliability, transparency, and scalability.
Agent Development
- Build specialized AI agents focused on classification, analysis, information retrieval, reasoning, decision support, and document generation.
- Develop workflows that allow agents to collaborate across multi-step business processes.
- Design intelligent routing and coordination mechanisms that maximize system effectiveness.
- Optimize agent behavior through prompt engineering, model tuning, evaluation methodologies, and structured feedback loops.
Retrieval & Knowledge Systems
- Build sophisticated RAG architectures that combine language models with proprietary knowledge sources.
- Develop strategies for retrieving, ranking, and synthesizing information from structured and unstructured data.
- Implement vector search, semantic retrieval, and knowledge management solutions that improve decision quality.
- Ensure information accuracy, traceability, and explainability across AI-generated outputs.
Production AI Operations
- Partner with platform and infrastructure engineers to deploy, monitor, and scale AI systems in production environments.
- Build observability, evaluation, and monitoring frameworks that measure performance and business outcomes.
- Create automated testing and validation systems that improve reliability and trustworthiness.
- Establish best practices for AI governance, model management, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operational experts to understand real-world workflows and translate them into intelligent automation.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define the long-term AI vision and technical roadmap.
- Participate in architectural reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviews.
- Help shape the culture, standards, and future direction of the AI organization.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying machine learning or AI solutions into production environments.
- Strong experience building applications powered by large language models and modern AI frameworks.
- Demonstrated success designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end AI workflows.
- Experience working with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and knowledge retrieval systems.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, model evaluation, and optimization techniques.
- Ability to move quickly, iterate rapidly, and deliver practical solutions in a startup environment.
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals and production deployment experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
