What You’ll Do
- Architect Predictive Solutions: Lead the design and deployment of advanced deep learning and predictive models to drive decision-making for both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Mentor and Cultivate Talent: Guide and grow fellow data professionals, fostering an inclusive environment where the team can thrive through peer reviews and technical mentorship.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Author ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) and RFCs to ensure our data infrastructure and modeling choices are transparent, well-considered, and built for long-term scale.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering leads to identify high-impact opportunities that align with our product roadmap.
- Optimize Delivery Velocity: Implement and advocate for best practices in CI/CD and MLOps to ensure reliable, iterative deployment of models within an agile framework.
- Solve Complex Ambiguity: Translate broad business challenges into structured data problems, navigating ambiguity to deliver solutions that significantly impact customer success.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated Expertise: Proven ability to lead complex data science initiatives and report sophisticated analytics across diverse applications.
- Leadership Presence: Extensive experience in a "player/coach" capacity, with a track record of leading technical projects and elevating the performance of development teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Python and SQL, with significant experience leveraging Snowflake for large-scale data orchestration.
- Growth Mindset: A proactive approach to learning new technologies and a commitment to "Succeeding Together" through collaborative problem-solving.
- Analytical Rigor: A deep understanding of statistical modeling, information systems, and the ability to maintain high levels of mental focus on intricate data patterns.
The Plus Factor
- Familiarity with our broader tech stack, including AWS, Terraform, or Django.
- Experience with MLOps and automating the machine learning lifecycle.
- Active contributions to the open-source community.

Compensation
The annual base compensation range for this position is $150,000-$175,000. The reasonably estimated total cash compensation (base + variable) range for this full-time position will be $161,250-$188,125.
Actual compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualifications, education, experience, and location. Crunchtime has a location-based compensation system, so someone doing the same job in a different city might have a different pay range.
