About the Role
We are partnering with a leading organization in the retail and convenience industry to identify a Senior Machine Learning Engineer who will drive the development and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions. This role is highly hands-on while also providing technical leadership, helping shape machine learning strategy and best practices across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models in production environments
- Architect and optimize scalable ML pipelines and infrastructure
- Work cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Translate complex business problems into actionable AI/ML solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in model development and MLOps
- Oversee model performance, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in machine learning, AI, or data science
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Databricks, Azure ML, or Dataiku
- Advanced proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
- Proven experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production
- Experience building data pipelines and working in cloud-based environments
- Strong understanding of algorithms, statistics, and model evaluation techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or convenience store environments
- Prior experience leading ML projects or mentoring engineers
- Strong knowledge of MLOps, model governance, and scalable architecture
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, distributed systems)
