Data Engineer
The Role
We have an outstanding technology opportunity in the ECS to deliver modern data solutions to the Fidelity Customer Protection Technology space working in Fraud area. As a Data Engineer you will engage in the design and development of data services in support of Fraud data team in CPT supporting required applications, migrations, etc.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelors or Masters in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering etc.) required.
2+ years of related experience in data engineering, analysis, data warehouses, data lakes. Specialist understanding and experience of methodologies like data warehousing, data visualization and data integration.
Experience with relational database technologies (Oracle SQL & PL/SQL or similar RDBMS), preferably Snowflake or other Cloud Data warehousing services.
Programming experience in Java, Python, Angular and scripting is required.
Hands on experience in all aspects of data movement technologies (ETL/ELT) and experience with schedulers.
Practical experience delivering and supporting Cloud strategies including migrating legacy products and implementing SaaS integrations.
Proven experience in understanding multi-functional enterprise data.
Understanding of DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
Able to work collaboratively with a geographically diverse team.
Understanding basics of distributed systems and Kubernetes.
You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Nice to have: Kafka, Scripting/coding experience in recent E2E accomplishments
Simplifying and effectively communicating technical challenges, solutions options, and recommendations to business partners and technology leadership.
Understand detailed requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Adaptability to a changing and challenging workload.
