We are currently seeking an Intermediate Computer Vision R&D Engineer to join a collaborative, research-focused engineering team developing advanced 3D imaging, AI-driven inspection systems, robotics integrations, and machine learning solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and applied research, working closely with global teams across software, robotics, electronics, optics, and physics. Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop advanced computer vision algorithms including:
- 3D reconstruction (structured light, multi-view geometry)
- 2D/3D imaging, object detection, segmentation, denoising, and metrology
- Design and implement machine learning and deep learning solutions for real-world, production-grade systems
- Engineer full-stack vision and ML solutions for quality inspection systems, medical equipment, and robotics
- Optimize high-performance C++ image-processing pipelines, including GPU and CUDA acceleration
- Deploy scalable solutions using C++ and Python, integrating AI into robotics and embedded systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global engineering teams across multiple disciplines
- Participate in weekly innovation and ideation sessions, contributing new concepts and approaches
- Perform additional duties aligned with R&D initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree required (Ph.D. strongly preferred)
- Strong experience researching and developing classical computer vision algorithms
- Hands-on experience researching and developing machine learning / deep learning solutions
- Experience deploying CUDA-based GPU processing
- Advanced C++ performance optimization for image processing
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: C++, Python, CUDA
- 2–30 years of relevant professional experience
Preferred Technical Experience (At Least One)
- Computer Vision:
- 3D reconstruction, object detection, recognition, segmentation, image processing
- Machine Learning:
- CNNs, deep learning, shallow learning, embedded optimization
- GPU & Performance Optimization:
- Parallel processing, CUDA, GPU acceleration
- Frameworks & Libraries (2+ years):
- TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe, Torch, OpenCV
- Embedded or GPU-based C++ development, UML familiarity
Compensation & Benefits
- $130,000 - $160,000
