Research & Strategy Analyst
Reporting to: Director of Client Strategy | Location: Soho, New York City (In-Office) | Start: Immediate
Do you believe the human brain is the last great frontier? That 90% of decision-making happens before a single conscious thought forms? That we have spent decades optimizing for language in a world that actually runs on meaning?
If that excites you — if those questions feel urgent rather than academic — we are looking for someone who wants to understand the whole: how brain data is collected, what it reveals, and what a brand should actually do about it. Someone who is as comfortable running a study in our Soho lab as they are building a slide that changes how a client thinks about their consumers.
About Neuro-Insight
Neuro-Insight is the world’s preeminent neuro-marketing firm. For fifteen years, we have measured subconscious human responses using our patented SST™ technology — an EEG-based system that captures neurological responses at millisecond precision. We hold the world’s largest database of long-term memory and emotion: 70,000+ brain recordings, an 86% correlation to real-world behavioral outcomes, and a client roster that spans the world’s top financial services, CPG, technology, and media brands.
We are now building the AI-native creative intelligence platform on top of that foundation — applying fifteen years of neural data to a set of AI applications that would be genuinely world-first. The person in this role will be part of that from day one.
The Role
At Neuro-Insight, a project begins with a client conversation and ends with a presentation that changes how that client thinks. Everything in between — study design, participant recruitment, in-lab data collection, analysis, and storytelling — is part of the same arc of work. This role owns that arc.
You will talk to clients, frame projects, design studies, run fieldwork, analyze the data, and deliver the final output. That is the job — start to finish. The fact that it includes putting a headset on a participant and troubleshooting equipment in real time is not a compromise. It is what makes the insight credible. The people who do this work best are the ones who were in the room when the data was collected.
This is how Neuro-Insight has always worked at its best — and it is how we are building the next chapter.
What You’ll Own
What the Work Looks Like
• Own the day-to-day running of in-lab data collection sessions using Neuro-Insight’s SST™ technology — you are responsible for data quality, session timing, and participant experience from start to finish
• Own participant recruitment end-to-end: screening, scheduling, and coordinating across our internal panel and external recruitment partners so studies are never delayed by a supply problem
• Manage the bench of fieldwork helpers across active studies — briefing them, assigning roles, and ensuring they show up prepared
• Manage participant payments and ensure data is packaged and delivered accurately to the teams who need it — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
• Troubleshoot hardware, headset setup, and lab environment issues in real time — you are the person who fixes it, not the person who reports it
• Maintain records of participant flows, study timelines, and fieldwork logistics with precision
• Lead projects end-to-end: from the first client conversation and study design through fieldwork, analysis, and final presentation
• Work with neural data to identify patterns and translate findings into clear, compelling narratives — not summaries, but insights that change how a client thinks
• Contribute to proposals, pitch materials, and presentations for existing and prospective clients
• Manage project tracking, flag issues proactively, and keep senior team members informed without being asked
• Engage with clients professionally and credibly — you represent Neuro-Insight every time you are in the room, and you take that seriously
What We’re Looking For
You are likely 1–3 years out of college. You have enough experience to know how to operate in a professional environment — but you have not yet been put in a box, and you do not want to be.
What matters most is not your specific background. It is how you operate. You see what needs doing and you do it. You over-prepare. You follow through without being chased. You are as comfortable with ambiguity as you are with a detailed checklist — because you know some days require one and some days require the other.
Must-haves
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in neuroscience, psychology, marketing, business, or a related field
• Around 2 years of professional experience in research, consulting, agency, or client services
• Strong analytical skills — you can interpret data and communicate what it means, in writing and in conversation
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; you run multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
• Comfort troubleshooting hardware, AV, or tech setups — you do not panic when something stops working
• Professional, warm, and polished in client-facing situations
• Proactive operating mode: you surface problems early and solve them without being told to
• Based in or able to commute to Soho, New York City — this role is fully in-office
Nice-to-haves
• Exposure to human subjects research, study coordination, or lab operations
• Experience with data visualization tools — Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Familiarity with neuroscience, behavioral science, or psychology
• Basic statistics and comfort working with structured databases
• Some exposure to client management or business development support
This Role Is For You If
• You want to build a multidimensional skill set across research operations, data analysis, and strategy — not a narrow specialization
• You are equally comfortable running logistics and thinking through problems — and you do not consider either beneath you
• You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks — you follow through because it would bother you not to
• You want to work in a small, high-performance team where your impact is immediate, visible, and real
• You are genuinely curious about neuroscience, AI, and what happens when you apply fifteen years of brain data to the hardest problems in marketing
What We Offer
• A seat at the intersection of neuroscience, strategy, and AI — at a company building something genuinely world-first
• Hands-on experience across research operations, data analysis, project management, and client engagement from day one
• Direct visibility with senior leadership in a small, high-performing team where your contributions are seen and valued
• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
• A clear growth path — this role is designed to develop into broader client strategy and delivery responsibilities over time
• In-office environment in Soho, NYC, with a team that believes the best work happens in person
This is not a narrow role. It is a foundational one. You will leave this position having run real-world research operations, contributed to client work, and built a deep understanding of how data translates into business decisions — inside a company that is building something that has never been built before.
We operate by four vows: Make the subconscious conscious • Excellence in all things • Service before self • Goes all out
We are looking to fill this role immediately. If you are the right person, we want to hear from you now.
