AI Engineer, Venture Capital
We are a leading technology-focused investment venture firm looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help build the AI capabilities that will shape how the firm works, thinks, and wins. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the center of a high-performing investment organization and turn cutting-edge AI into real, day-to-day leverage for teams across the firm and you do not need to have current venture capital experience.
You’ll own the technical execution behind AI adoption, from prototyping intelligent workflows to building production-grade agents that support research, operations, and internal decision-making. If you like solving ambiguous problems, shipping useful tools, and seeing your work create immediate impact, this role offers that at a very high level.
What You’ll Be Building
AI tools, agents, and workflows that help investment professionals move faster and think more clearly.
Automation that streamlines work across strategy, investments, operations, finance, HR, investor relations, marketing, and legal.
Production-ready systems that connect internal data, external research tools, and LLMs into practical workflows.
Evaluation and monitoring frameworks to ensure AI solutions are reliable, secure, and genuinely useful.
Internal enablement resources, including training, playbooks, and best practices that drive adoption across the firm.
Why This Role Is Exciting
You’ll have a high-leverage mandate with visible impact across the organization.
You’ll be building in a greenfield environment, where there is room to shape strategy as well as execution.
You’ll work alongside sharp, collaborative investors and operators who care about quality and speed.
You’ll get exposure to the latest AI platforms, models, and infrastructure in a real business setting.
Your work will directly influence how the firm sources, evaluates, and acts on opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
Deep hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and RAG architectures.
Strong software engineering ability in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Comfort building production-quality tools, not just prototypes.
A strong product mindset and the ability to turn messy problems into elegant solutions.
Clear communication and the confidence to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
Curiosity about venture capital, enterprise technology, and how AI is changing both.
4+ years in applied AI/ML, data engineering, or AI product development; experience in venture capital, private equity, or financial services is a plus but not required for excellent engineers.
Nice to Have
Experience building MCP servers or custom LLM tooling.
Familiarity with investment or enterprise tech stacks like CRMs, research platforms, collaboration tools, and data infrastructure.
Background in data science, analytics, or portfolio/sourcing workflows.
Experience deploying AI in a high-trust, small-team environment.
