About the Role
Delta-v Capital is a growth equity firm investing in B2B SaaS and cloud services companies. We partner with exceptional founders scaling the infrastructure of modern business. Our team is small, collaborative, and we’re building internal AI and data capabilities to sharpen every stage of our investment process.
We’re looking for an AI Engineer to join our team and own the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered internal tools and automations. You’ll work across the full investment lifecycle — from deal sourcing and market intelligence to portfolio monitoring and operational workflows — building systems that make the entire team faster and smarter.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build AI-powered tools that automate and enhance internal workflows across deal sourcing, diligence, portfolio monitoring, and investor communications
- Develop LLM-based applications using modern frameworks and APIs
- Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, clean, and consolidate information from CRM systems, market databases, portfolio companies, and third-party APIs
- Create dashboards and analytical tools that surface actionable insights for the investment team
- Prototype rapidly, iterate based on team feedback, and ship production-grade solutions that non-technical users can rely on
- Evaluate emerging AI tools, models, and techniques to keep Delta-v at the frontier of applied AI in investing
- Collaborate with investment professionals, operations, and portfolio companies to identify high-impact automation opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience
- 1–4 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or software engineering
- Hands-on experience building applications with large language models and related tools (LangChain, vector databases, RAG architectures)
- Comfort working across the full stack, from data ingestion and model development to API design and simple front-end interfaces
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and deployment tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
- Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in staying current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape; experimenting with new models, tools, and techniques
- A bias toward action and shipping: you prefer building working tools, iterate quickly, and learn
Nice to Have
- Interest in B2B SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and the broader technology investment landscape
- Experience in financial services, private equity, venture capital, or consulting
- Familiarity with CRM systems and market intelligence platforms (PitchBook, Specter, Harmonic)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $120,000 – $170,000, commensurate with experience
- Annual performance bonus
- Hybrid work arrangement with two days a week in our Denver or Dallas office
