We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry and Research Assistant to support the Fundraising Department of a non-profit organization in New York, New York. This role focuses on maintaining and improving the accuracy of donor and campaign data to ensure effective stewardship and reporting. As a long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in enhancing database management and contributing to the organization's mission.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive data cleanup, including removing duplicates and outdated records.
• Standardize naming conventions and establish consistent data protocols.
• Perform audits of campaign, fund, and designation coding to ensure accuracy.
• Input actions into Raiser's Edge from tracking spreadsheets and maintain accurate donor records.
• Organize historical records and conduct quality control reviews.
• Assist in managing legal review processes for partnership agreements by creating cover sheets.
• Research and identify corporate prospects aligned with the organization's mission and initiatives.
• Upload, organize, and manage corporate contracts and acknowledgment letters within Raiser's Edge.
• Coordinate the development and review of quarterly corporate newsletters.
• Improve tracking systems for pledges, grants, and restricted gifts to enhance data reporting.
• At least 2 years of experience in data entry or database management roles.
• Proficiency in Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy.
• Familiarity with donor stewardship and fundraising databases.
• Experience with auditing and standardizing data protocols.
• Solid research skills to identify and evaluate corporate prospects.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
