Are you ready to chart a path to empowering intelligent autonomous vision? We are now looking for a Senior Director to lead our Camera Software organization and grow imaging capabilities across consumer, automotive, and edge platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong background delivering production camera and imaging software stacks on embedded systems. You will have deep expertise in advanced image processing and neural imaging pipelines. Experience building AI-based camera solutions at scale is critical. We invite a proven engineering leader to guide the future of intelligent camera systems. This includes combining computational imaging, real-time neural processing, and stable embedded software to power new vision-enabled devices.
What you'll be doing:
Refining how imaging pipelines are processed, developing the next generation of algorithms and interfaces to world models and inference
Enabling production quality stacks for humanoid robotics and autonomous vehicles
Developing applied research capabilities bringing together imaging and inference
Leading teams across NVIDIA in the development of world class imaging capabilities
What we need to see:
8+ years of leadership experience leading multiple software engineering and algorithm teams and projects
Strong software development skills and experience leading teams to deliver production software on time. Agentic SW development (Claude Code, Codex) is a must
Experience formulating and completing technical roadmaps and strategies while delivering embedded software stacks at production quality
History of developing computational imaging, computer vision, and sophisticated imaging algorithms and solutions—from ISP pipelines to deep learning for camera systems (e.g., HDR, denoising, super-resolution, scene understanding)
Working experience with embedded HW technologies and I/O interfaces such as MIPI CSI, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, HDMI, SPI, I2C
15+ years of overall experience
Master’s or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, Applied Math, or related field
