The AI Engineer will design, develop, and implement AI-powered chatbot/AI agent solutions, with a strong focus on end-to-end conversation orchestration, enterprise integrations, and customer experience continuity. This role will ensure scalable, performant, and cost-efficient AI solutions by bridging AI capabilities with business workflows and enterprise systems.
Major Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI chatbot/AI agent solutions aligned to business use cases and intents
- Own and implement the end-to-end conversation orchestration layer, including decision logic, tool usage, and multi-step interaction flows
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems such as CRM (D365), SAP, contact center platforms (e.g., Genesys), and knowledge bases
- Develop and manage APIs, middleware, and data pipelines to support AI interactions
- Implement context-aware handoff to live agents (Genesys), ensuring full conversation history and intent propagation for seamless customer experience
- Collaborate with business analysts, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate solution design and implementation
- Support prompt design, response tuning, and model interaction workflows
- Optimize solutions for latency, cost per interaction, and response accuracy
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of AI solutions in production environments
- Participate in testing, debugging, and deployment activities across pilot and MVP phases
- Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement of AI capabilities
- Adhere to enterprise standards for security, compliance, and data privacy
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
Work Experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML or conversational AI development
- Experience in AI agent development and orchestration frameworks preferred
- Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as D365, SAP, and contact center systems (e.g., Genesys)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or Java
- Experience with AI/LLM frameworks, APIs, and orchestration tools
- Deep demonstratable understanding of conversation orchestration, dialog management, and context handling
- Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise integrations
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and prompt engineering
- Ability to optimize for performance, latency, and cost efficiency
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work in Agile development environments
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with platforms such as Kore.ai, Yellow.ai, Cognigy, or similar
- Exposure to multi-LLM orchestration and model selection strategies
- Experience with real-time voice and chat integrations (e.g., Genesys Cloud)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools
- Familiarity with Responsible AI, security, and compliance frameworks
