CoPatible is an AI-native social connection platform designed to bring people together through curated, small-group, real-world experiences centered around navigating life together.
We are building a new layer of social infrastructure that uses AI to understand human context, intent, and social readiness, and connects people in ways that feel natural, relevant, and meaningful.
We have begun validating the concept through curated IRL experiences in San Francisco and are now building the product.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Intern to support technical development as we build from 0 to 1. This person will work closely with the technical cofounder to contribute to real product development, gain hands-on experience with AI-native systems, and help bring a meaningful consumer experience to life.
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to frontend and backend development across core product features
• Assist in building and testing AI-powered features including matching, recommendations, and personalization
• Support rapid prototyping and iteration based on real user feedback
• Help maintain clean, well-documented code across the codebase
• Collaborate closely with the founding team on product design and user experience
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Solid foundation in software engineering fundamentals
• Familiarity with modern web or mobile development frameworks
• Curiosity about AI, LLMs, or conversational systems
• Ability to move quickly, take ownership, and work in an ambiguous, early-stage environment
• Interest in human behavior, social connection, and consumer product experiences
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, LLM-based tools, or voice/conversational AI
• Experience with social, marketplace, or community-driven products
• Prior internship or project experience at an early-stage startup Compensation
Upaid internship.
San Francisco preferred, or willingness to be closely involved in the SF ecosystem.
