A series-A startup building AI-powered software for pharmaceutical research seeking an AI Engineer to join its growing team.
This is a full-stack engineering role with a strong frontend emphasis. You’ll have ownership across the product stack—from user interfaces to infrastructure supporting AI models.
Tech Stack: Typescript, Next.js, Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), AWS
Location: New York, NY (3 days/week)
Salary: Up to 230k base + equity
Responsibilities:
- Develop intuitive frontend applications used by research scientists
- Build and maintain full-stack features that support AI-driven experimentation workflows
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers, designers, and scientific users to shape new product capabilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their research workflows and translate them into software tools
- Contribute to backend services that support scalable AI model inference and data processing
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer
- 2+ years of experience as an AI engineer
- Experience with Typescript, Next.js, Python and AWS
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLM)
- 1+ year of experience at a high-growth startup
