Job Description:
•Top 3 must-have skill sets:
Ability to learn, basic toxicology skills (lab work not needed as much, mostly need analytical skills, can they read a report and tell you what the pertinent toxicology pieces are) and ability to work both in a team and individually.
• Years of experience required: Bachelor’s in some kind of toxicology-related field + 0-3 years
• Working hours: 8-5 M-F onsite
Job Summary:
Research scientists typically work in a laboratory environment, conducting research and experiments for academic, industrial or commercial ends. They may help develop new products for their company, for example, or help contribute to scientific understanding within their field.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead the formulation, development, and optimization of new programs, designs, and prototypes.
• Participate in research formulating and writing with other staff.
• Assess new technologies and future applications of technologies.
• Propose, plan, and manage research projects, report preparation, and presentation of findings.
• Apply for grants to continue their research
• May be required to mentor, train and/or coach junior research scientists
• Atay up to date on developments within their field through methods such as reading academic journals, attending training programs and attending conferences within their field
