We are seeking an Applied AI Engineer with strong software engineering skills and demonstrated experience building and operating production generative AI systems. You will lead the design and implementation of AI-native architectures, create scalable APIs and web services, and drive best practices for deploying secure, observable AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

What You Will Do
- Design and develop production-ready AI applications integrating LLMs and generative models, making key technical decisions on system design and tooling
- Lead implementation of AI context engineering strategies and AI agent architectures
- Own end-to-end delivery of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment workflows for model artifacts and services
- Drive reliability and observability standards: define monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies; lead incident triage and root-cause analysis for AI services
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data engineering, and platform teams to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows and feature pipelines
- Contribute to team standards, code reviews, and technical documentation
- Produce and maintain clear documentation, reproducible experiments, and reusable code to support long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing
What You Need to Succeed
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, with 1+ years focused on AI/ML systems in production environments
- Strong Python expertise; proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend or service integration
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services at scale
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable)
- Demonstrated experience with production support: monitoring, triage, incident response, and post-mortem analysis
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams
- Track record of independently driving projects from concept through production deployment
Preferred Skills & Technologies
- Experience building generative AI solutions (LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases such as Azure AI Search)
- Experience with FastAPI, React, and Azure Cosmos DB or similar technology stacks
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with automated testing of ML pipelines, model governance, and MLOps best practices
- Experience mentoring team members or leading technical initiatives
