Open position for a Research Scientist in Dr. Jaimie Nathan's Abdominal Transplantation and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery program.
- Conducts clinical and translational research studies and data analysis of clinical data and samples in conjunction with Dr. Jaimie Nathan.
- Candidates with background and experience in pediatric transplantation and hepatopancreatobiliary diseases and research data analysis are preferred.
- Collaborates and interacts with other researchers doing similar studies at NCH (including within the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research) and at other research institutions. Read more about the program at the following link: Jaimie D. Nathan
Essential Functions:
- Records and analyzes data generated by the research study. Assists in the development of hypotheses for further investigation from the results of the studies performed.
- Prepares scientific and technical papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Presents findings at local and national research forums.
- Collaborates with other ongoing research efforts either at NCH or at The Ohio State University.
- Works toward research independence, preparing to submit proposals to and obtain funding from external granting agencies.
Education Requirement:
PhD, MD or equivalent degree in relevant field of science, required.
