AI Engineer – Applied LLM Systems / Agentic Workflows
We’re hiring AI Engineers to join a fast‑growing, deeply technical product team building a new category of software at the intersection of AI, automation, and organizational knowledge.
This team is creating systems that help companies automate complex operations using their own tribal knowledge, and they’re scaling quickly across New York and London with strong backing, strong demand, and an exceptionally high bar for technical talent.
If you’re an engineer who thrives in high‑ownership environments, loves solving open‑ended problems, and wants to push what’s possible with modern LLMs, this is the opportunity.
The Role
You’ll work across applied AI research and real‑world production systems, building LLM‑heavy, agentic, and evaluation‑driven workflows that solve real customer problems.
This isn’t a role for someone looking to “just use the APIs.” You’ll be:
- Designing and shipping mult‑agent and LLM‑powered systems end‑to‑end
- Building scalable async architectures and distributed inference pipelines
- Creating evaluation frameworks that accurately measure model performance
- Debugging model and agent behaviour in production when systems don’t act as expected
- Designing systems that learn, adapt, and improve over time
- Working across the stack from prompts to infrastructure
- Contributing to AI strategy and product direction
If you enjoy moving between research papers and production code with equal enthusiasm, you’ll fit right in.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You
- Have built real‑world, non‑trivial AI systems end‑to‑end
- Understand deep learning fundamentals beyond library usage
- Know why metrics like NDCG outperform accuracy in ranking problems
- Have experience with LLM orchestration, agents, or RAG pipelines
- Have taken complex AI systems from concept to prototype to production
- Are deliberate about your own growth and technical development
- Thrive in ambiguous, high‑intensity environments where solutions may not exist yet
You don’t need to check every box. Exceptional engineers come from many backgrounds.
Why This Team
- High‑ownership environment with a deeply technical team
- Mission‑driven work solving meaningful operational challenges
- Opportunity to build foundational AI systems at an early, high‑momentum stage
- Culture that values intensity, curiosity, and exceptional talent
Compensation and Details
- Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000
- Meaningful equity package
- 100% employer‑paid healthcare premiums

If you’d like to work on some of the most challenging problems in applied AI and build systems that redefine what’s possible, we’d love to hear from you.
Research indicates that men will apply to a role when they only meet 50-60% of the descriptions, however, when looking at women and other minority groups, they can look for up to a 99% match in order to apply to a role. If you feel you are a fit for our role, please still apply, don’t worry if you don’t tick every single box. We’d still love to hear from you. We encourage underrepresented talent to apply to all our roles & support accessibility needs.
