Are you a master of data, a coding wizard, and a geospatial guru? Leidos is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer/Data Science Librarian to revolutionize GEOINT product dissemination. Dive into complex databases, optimize spatial content, and leverage your expertise in Python, Java, and SQL to drive critical national security initiatives.
The Role
• Manage and optimize databases supporting GEOINT product dissemination, including spatial content and country/state boundary generation.
• Develop and enhance data ingest and validation scripts using Perl, Java, and Python to ensure data accuracy and efficient processing.
• Integrate and optimize geospatial components like Oracle Spatial, ArcSDE, and SDO_Geometry for improved data integrity and visualization.
• Troubleshoot software and database issues, ensuring high availability and integrity of critical GEOINT data.
• Represent the organization in customer-facing engagements, delivering technical briefings and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
What You'll Need
• 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's.
• Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph post-hire.
• Strong experience developing with Perl, Python, Java, SQL, and C++ for database constructs, schemas, and stored procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of database management with geospatial components, including Oracle Spatial, ArcSDE, and SDO_Geometry.
• Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS for querying spatial data and applying multiple layers to geospatial maps, plus Sec+ certification.
