We are actively seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Cloud Engineers to join our dynamic Bangalore team specifically a Cloud Database Engineer with expertise in MySQL, AWS Aurora, DocumentDB, and multi-region cloud architectures as well as experience in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, and Crossplane. What You’ll Do
Multi-Region Database Architecture:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based database solutions with a focus on multi-region deployments.
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance across diverse geographical locations.
MySQL, Aurora, and DocumentDB Expertise:
- Administer and optimize MySQL, AWS Aurora, and DocumentDB databases for performance and scalability.
- Implement best practices for data modeling and indexing.
Multi-Region Cloud Deployment:
- Configure and maintain databases across multiple cloud regions deployed both using managed services and self hosted within Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage replication, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in multi-region database deployments.
- Optimize queries and data retrieval processes for efficiency.
Database Security and Compliance:
- Implement robust security measures for databases in accordance with industry standards.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with security policies across multi-region deployments.
Backup and Recovery Strategies:
- Develop and implement effective backup and recovery strategies for multi-region databases.
- Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery processes to ensure reliability.
Cloud Database Technologies:
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in cloud-native database technologies, including advancements in AWS services.
- Collaborate with the team to assess and implement emerging solutions.
Crossplane Integration:
- Implement and extend Crossplane for managing cloud infrastructure resources in a multi-cloud environment.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration with Postman's architecture.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm charts.
- Maintain version-controlled infrastructure code for repeatability and scalability.
About You
- 7+ years as a Cloud Database Engineer
- Proven experience as a Cloud Database Engineer with a focus on multi-region deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of MySQL, AWS Aurora, and DocumentDB.
- Expertise in designing and managing databases for high availability and fault tolerance.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native database technologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with security measures and compliance standards for multi-region cloud deployments.
- Proficient in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
