We are now looking for a System Software Engineer for our Robotics Simulation Team! As a Robotics Software Engineer at NVIDIA, you will play a key role in advancing the field of robotics by working on state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on developing and deploying robotics systems that blend both simulation and real-world applications. If you are enthusiastic about building infrastructure that removes friction and directly enables a team's ability to iterate rapidly, while gaining exposure to the complex challenges of production-grade robotic software, this position is right for you!
What you’ll be doing:
Partner with customers and UI/UX teams to design and improve robotics workflows
Build and integrate tools for robot configuration, simulation, and testing
Improve user-facing documentation, tutorials, and examples to enhance user experience
Support and help drive community driven development and open-source initiatives
What we need to see:
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Simulation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of systems software engineering experience
Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills
Experience supporting community-driven software development and support
Experience with physics simulation, robotics, or motion planning and controls
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, principal engineers, and architects across organizational boundaries and geographies
Ways To Stand Out from the crowd:
Background with Isaac Sim, Omniverse, USD, MJCF, URDF, and CAD formats
Experience with physical robots, reinforcement learning, and synthetic data generation
Familiarity with UI/UX for user and developer facing tools
Experience shipping and supporting software products

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 218,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
