🚀 Data Scientist – Investment Team | Buy-Side Opportunity
We’re working with a leading investment firm that places data at the center of its investment strategy. This role offers the chance to work directly with portfolio managers and investment analysts, using cutting-edge datasets to drive real market decisions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering closely with investment professionals across a specific sector to identify high-impact data opportunities
- Sourcing, evaluating, and operationalising alternative & fundamental datasets to generate actionable insights
- Performing deep-dive analyses, building KPIs, and developing dashboards & research outputs that influence trading and portfolio strategy
- Collaborating with data engineering to build scalable pipelines and automate workflows
- Ensuring all data usage aligns with ethical and regulatory best practices
What we’re looking for:
- 2–5 years’ experience in Data Science, Data Analysis, or Research (buy-side, sell-side, or data-provider background ideal)
- Strong hands-on skills in Python & SQL
- Experience working with alternative data is highly desirable
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable investment insights
- A highly analytical mindset with a strong sense of ownership and impact
