Job summary:
Our client, a leading technology-driven organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to join their advanced AI engineering team. In this role, you will design and deploy large-scale AI systems and foundational models that power intelligent products, transforming the way employees work and how customers engage with innovative digital experiences.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, research scientists, product managers, and program leaders to deliver AI-powered solutions that drive enterprise transformation.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model (LLM) inference, similarity search, guardrails, experimentation frameworks, governance, and observability systems.
- Work with a modern stack of open-source and cloud-based AI tools, including AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, and PyTorch.
- Develop and implement advanced LLM optimization techniques to enhance system scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for foundational AI infrastructure and enterprise-level AI solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with 8+ years of experience developing AI and ML technologies; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience.
- 8+ years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience building and deploying scalable, responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Proven experience designing, developing, integrating, and supporting complex AI systems in production.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide engineering teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders up to the executive level.
- Expertise in developing AI and ML algorithms (e.g., LLM inference, similarity search, VectorDBs, guardrails, and memory systems) using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Go.
- Advanced understanding of model optimization techniques to improve hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Passion for continuous learning, staying informed on emerging AI research, and applying novel approaches in real-world systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
