We’re looking for a SeniorAI Engineer with deep expertise in machine learning, biology, and scalable systems to help us push the boundaries of personalized, preventative health. You’ll design, build and deploy AI models that transform complex microbiome and clinical datasets into precision health insights—directly shaping how individuals and clinicians make better health decisions.
What You’ll Do- Build and Ship Predictive AI Models: Develop and optimize supervised and unsupervised learning AI models to identify microbial biomarkers, predict disease states, treatment responses and health outcomes.
- Implement Advanced Algorithms: Innovate and apply cutting-edge techniques in AI and LLMs, differential abundance analysis, network inference, multi-omics integration and deep learning architectures for time series, biological and scientific data.
- AI Leadership: Lead AI projects from conception to deployment, architecting scalable solutions and ensuring their successful integration into existing systems.
- Develop Data Pipelines & Biological Analysis Tools: Design and implement robust ETL workflows for processing large-scale microbiome sequencing data (e.g., shotgun metagenomics), ensuring quality, normalization and integration from diverse sources. Create custom tools and workflows for microbiome data preprocessing, machine learning and visualization in collaboration with researchers.
- Validate & Monitor Models: Establish rigorous validation pipelines, monitor real-world performance and mitigate model drift in production systems.
- Collaborate on Research: Partner with clinicians, scientists and academic researchers to validate insights, publish findings and stay at the forefront of microbiome and AI science.
- Scale Platform Infrastructure: Architect and maintain cloud-based systems for multi-terabyte biological datasets, containerized deployment, API integrations and real-time analytics.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Build models and pipelines in compliance with HIPAA and FDA guidance for AI/ML-based medical technologies, with robust documentation.
What You Bring- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computational Biology or related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/machine learning models in production environments.
- Strong expertise in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Proven ability to design scalable, cloud-based data architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards in healthcare data and AI.
- Strong collaboration skills with scientists, product management, annotators, engineers, and clinicians.
- A passion for using AI to transform health and longevity.
- Experience with bioinformatics data (genomics, metagenomics, multi-omics) and domain-specific analysis techniques is a plus.
