As an
Applied AI Engineer, you will be responsible for leveraging LLMs and various Machine Learning techniques to solve critical business problems, automate complex processes, and create groundbreaking AI applications across our product suite. This role requires a deep understanding of the business domain to ensure your technical output directly drives user growth, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead and own end-to-end AI augmentation and automation projects, including:
- Unintuitive classifications, data extraction, and summarization
- Precise content generation, reference-based search, and question answering
- Process outcome prediction and probabilistic workflow triggering
- Building multi-modal model-powered bots and agents
- Drive zero-to-one product development from conceptualization through successful production launch, collaborating closely with go-to-market and operations teams
- Stay abreast of emerging AI methods, determining optimal models and techniques, including strategies for fine-tuning and custom model training
- Establish rigorous research strategies, experimentation, and evaluation protocols to ensure high accuracy and consistency of AI outputs (e.g., building a one-click evaluation system)
- Prototype, productionize, and refine AI functionality and agents based on real-world operational and client feedback
- Develop robust engineering processes, tools, and systems to support faster AI product development and efficient model scaling
- Participate actively in client engagements to understand complex requirements and deliver innovative, AI-powered solutions
- Work to decipher and automate complex, branching workflows (e.g., combining AI/ML with RPA/scraping for multi-step, path-dependent processes)
Requirements
- Experience: 0 - 15 years of experience as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or ML Research Engineer at a high-quality company or successful early-stage startup
- Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in our core tech stack, which includes Python, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes
- Applied AI Expertise: Deep practical experience in applying LLMs and ML to solve real-world, production use cases
- Ownership Mentality: Demonstrated ability to take end-to-end responsibility for projects (definition, design, development, launch, and success)
- System Development: Experience developing robust and scalable systems, including managing complex failure modes and creating state machines for multi-step processes
- Experimentation: Proven ability to establish robust research, experimentation, and evaluation protocols for AI methods
- Soft Skills: Low-ego, hungry to learn, excellent communication skills, and excitement for intense, high-impact, and cross-functional work
