Summary
As an
AI Engineer at Foxbox Digital, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions that solve real-world business challenges for our clients. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, product, and design teams to deliver impactful machine learning and AI features, from prototyping to production. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in modern machine learning and LLMs, a passion for experimentation, and a drive to keep up with the latest advances in the field.
This is a
contract-to-hire opportunity, with strong potential for full-time employment based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and AI-driven features for internal and client-facing applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, and clients) to define AI project requirements and success criteria
- Build and maintain data pipelines for data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing
- Research, prototype, and implement solutions using state-of-the-art AI frameworks (e.g., LLMs, computer vision, NLP, or recommender systems)
- Optimize model performance and ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability in production environments
- Document processes, models, and findings to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility
- Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices in AI/ML projects
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in AI/ML; advocate for continuous improvement and innovation
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and team meetings in an Agile environment
Requirements
Who You Are:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models.
- Proficient with Python and modern ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Experience building and maintaining end-to-end ML pipelines, from data ingestion to model deployment
- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with cloud-based ML deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with data wrangling, feature engineering, and model evaluation/validation.
- Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Strong Git version control skills and collaborative development practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working directly with U.S.-based clients.
- Eligible to work in the United States and located within U.S. time zones.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.) and prompt engineering
- Exposure to MLOps practices (model monitoring, CI/CD for ML, automated retraining)
- Knowledge of API development (FastAPI, Flask, Node.js) and integrating ML models into products
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and big data tools (Spark, Airflow, etc.)
- Prior experience in a digital agency or client-facing consulting setting
- Background in healthcare, fintech, or e-commerce applications
