Job Description: Software Engineer 3 (RPA Developer)
Location: Austin, TX (4 day remote & 1 day onsite)
Duration: Long term
Note: Need someone with State or Federal client experience and local to Texas.
Position Overview: The organization is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join its Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team. This position will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining RPA solutions. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the full RPA development lifecycle, from solution design to implementation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with business stakeholders and process owners to identify automation opportunities and define requirements.
- RPA Development: Manage all aspects of RPA, including discovery, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing production monitoring and support.
- Script Optimization: Monitor and improve RPA script performance through programming changes or configuration updates.
- Workflow Maintenance: Lead the development and maintenance of automated workflows, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of RPA processes to ensure accuracy and robustness.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 8 years of hands-on experience with RPA development, with at least 4 years of specific experience using Blue Prism.
- 8 years of experience with SQL/No-SQL databases.
- 8 years of experience with RESTful web services.
- Preferred Skills:
- 4 years of proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
- 4 years of experience with process discovery, requirements gathering, and solution architecture.
- 4 years of experience with web development (HTML, JavaScript, DOM, HTTP protocol).
- 4 years of experience with JDBC API development.
- 4 years of experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including QA and troubleshooting.
Work Schedule & Location:
- Start Date: May 12, 2025
- End Date: August 31, 2025
- Total Hours: Not to exceed 900 hours.
- Work Hours: Normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
- This position is Hybrid (4 days remote, 1 day on-site per week, mandatory on-site presence on Mondays).
- Location: Austin, Texas (local candidates only).
- Remote Work: The position allows remote work up to 100% of the time at the organization's discretion.
- Additional Work Hours: Candidate may be required to work outside normal hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Pre-approval is required for any overtime.

- Candidates must already reside in Texas, preferably within the Austin area. Out-of-state candidates will not be considered unless they are already living in Texas.
