A client of ours is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to help them out on a 3 month project. This role will design and implement electrical control systems for custom machinery from concept through delivery. Seeking candidates with a strong machine design background. THIS ROLE CAN WORK REMOTE!

Job Title: Electrical Designer

Location: Blaine, MN

Key Responsibilities

Design cost-effective control systems for custom machinery, including component selection, circuit design, safety analysis, and technical documentation.
Understand and adhere to project specifications, including mechanical and software requirements, to implement suitable hardware solutions.
Generate electrical schematics, process & instrumentation diagrams, and control panel layouts.
Communicate effectively with purchasing to ensure accurate and timely procurement of commercial components.
Coordinate with shop personnel during the electrical assembly of control systems and machines

Requirements

AAS degree in engineering or related field to electrical design
3+ years of electrical design experience ideally within machine design
Proficiency in the design of electrical control systems for industrial machinery, including power distribution, PLC configuration, and machine safety.
Experience in preparing engineering documentation including Electrical Schematics, Bills of Material, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, and Operator and Maintenance Manuals.
Intimate knowledge of an Electrical Engineering CAD program, such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, ePlan, or similar product.
Working knowledge of standards relevant to industrial machinery, including NFPA79, UL508A, NEC, EN ISO 13849 and IEC/EN 62061.
