Blu Omega is seeking ahighly skilledData Analytics Specialist to deliver advanced analytical solutions and actionable insights that drive mission success. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects supporting national security objectives, leveraging data science, AI/ML, and visualization tools to transform complex data into strategic outcomes.

In this role, you’ll work on-site, side by side a talented team of professionals, ensuring the workforce training and development of our DOD customer.

This role requires an active Secret Clearance, at minimum.

Responsibilities:

Lead analytical efforts and provide high-quality insights to support strategic objectives.
Translate user requirements into technical specifications and develop innovative solutions.
Conduct exploratory data analysis, model development, and evaluation to identify actionable insights.
Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical audiences in clear, concise language.
Establish advanced analysis and visualization methodologies using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
Identify and process raw data, trends, and assessments to aggregate disparate information sources.
Develop and refine AI/ML models with a focus on accuracy and scalability.
Apply data science techniques using Python or similar libraries for data cleaning, EDA, statistical analysis, and visualization in an Agile environment.

Qualifications:

Active Secret Clearance.
Ability to work onsite in El Segundo, CA five days per week.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in analytics, data visualization, and data science (including algorithm development and NLP).
Proficiency in advanced analytics tools and programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML solutions to real-world problems, including rapid prototyping and MVP development.
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and frameworks.
Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to Have:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
Familiarity with DoD AI landscape, policies, and security requirements.
Experience managing the lifecycle of AI solutions, including deployment and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of Palantir, dashboarding tools, and process automation (e.g., Power Automate).
Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with data engineering, ETL processes, and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
Understanding of UI/UX principles for data visualization and human-centered design.
Familiarity with MLOps tools like Databricks MLFlow and DevOps practices for machine learning.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
