AI Engineer – Internal Tools & Automation

Bakemono Media is looking for a detail-oriented AI Engineer to build and maintain internal systems that streamline workflows and enhance creative decision-making across our organization. This is a technical, focused role for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes—solving complex problems through stable, well-documented code and automation.

You’ll be responsible for developing internal tools that leverage Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and workflow automation to reduce manual load on our creative and strategy teams. Projects will include building systems that review content, provide structured feedback, organize assets, and surface insights using LLMs and structured pipelines.

We’re looking for someone systematic, accurate, and quietly dependable—someone who prefers building something useful over chasing hype. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope clear problems, then implement, iterate, and document tools that get real results.

Responsibilities:

Build internal AI-powered systems using Gemini 2.5 Pro, Claude, Windsurf, and OpenAI APIs
Implement agent workflows and RAG pipelines for content feedback and creative analysis
Design and maintain automations using n8n across Notion, Frame.io, Google Suite, and other tools
Integrate with Postgres databases for structured data storage and reporting
Collaborate with leadership and team leads to understand bottlenecks and propose practical AI solutions
Ensure clean, reliable, and maintainable code with strong documentation and version control

Ideal Candidate Traits:

Deep familiarity with AI agents, RAG systems, and prompt engineering
Proficient with Python and frameworks like LangChain or similar
Experience with n8n, Postgres, and multi-agent LLM integrations
Methodical and cautious—tests assumptions, avoids risky shortcuts, and documents thoroughly
Comfortable with scoped autonomy and focused problem-solving
Motivated by making internal systems stronger, faster, and more reliable
